There was an error creating your own party. (error 1) - This is one the most annoying errors to get as generally you have an extended log in then error1 and kicked out of game back to log in queue.
There is no fix for this, it means Blizzard is having server issues.
Best bet for information is from blue posts on the forums

Last GM post 45 minutes ago indicates the correct team has been informed and working on issue. This is EU only issue at present.
